Our monoblock water ring vacuum pumps refer primarily to the 2BV5 series. In this design, no coupling or belt drive is required: the pump and the motor share a common shaft, and the motor drives the pump directly. The 2BV2 series can also be supplied with a coaxial motor on request, allowing it to be used as a monoblock water ring vacuum pump.
Thanks to its direct motor-coupled design, the monoblock water ring vacuum pump is compact and space-saving, quick to install and easy to maintain.
The 2BV2 series covers a pumping speed range of 27–110 m³/h, while the 2BV5 series covers 165–500 m³/h.
If the pump is to operate continuously at a suction pressure below 80 hPa, a cavitation protection line should be connected to protect the pump. A jet ejector can also serve as an effective means of cavitation protection.
Materials: The materials of construction for the monoblock water ring vacuum pump can be selected to suit the suction medium, including cast iron, carbon steel, austenitic stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, Hastelloy and titanium.
This series is fitted with a mechanical seal. As the shaft is not covered by a shaft sleeve, it is in direct contact with the suction medium. Therefore, if the monoblock pump is used in corrosive service, the shaft itself must also be provided with corrosion protection.
Supply configurations: The pump can be delivered as a stand-alone complete unit, as an integrated closed-loop sealing-liquid recirculation system, or together with a Roots vacuum pump as a Roots–liquid ring vacuum pump combination unit (skid-mounted vacuum system).
